FORGOTTEN YOUR NHSMAIL PASSWORD - RESET YOUR OWN EMAIL PASSWORD ON NHSMAIL SELF-SERVICE PASSWORD RESET (SSPR)
Digital Service Desk no longer resetting NHSMail Passwords from Monday 5th August 2024
To reduce the waiting time for staff to get through to the Service Desk with urgent and high priority issues, we are asking staff the use the NHSMail self-service password reset (SSPR) to reset their own password from Monday 5th August 2024.
The SSPR is an enhanced and secure function that will allow users to reset their NHSmail passwords 24/7 without contacting the Digital Service Desk.
If you have forgotten your NHSmail password and have no access to your account, then follow these steps below to reset your password on a Trust device:
- Go to ‘THE LINK’ and click on the IT Service Desk button
- Click on the button ‘NHS Mail Password Unlock/Reset’
- Follow onscreen instructions and click ‘Next’
- Choose your preferred method for verification and follow the onscreen steps.
- You will then be asked to enter a new password and to confirm.
- Once your password has been reset, you will be prompted to authenticate with MS Teams, NHSmail Web portal and Microsoft Outlook.
If you are not working on a Trust device, follow these instructions:
1. Open a web browser and go to NHSmail Portal https://portal.nhs.net and click on Login at the top right corner of the screen.
2. Click on the Self-Service Password Reset Portal
